Pakistan Medical Commission (PMDC) has issued an official notification regarding opening the portal for the students who want to change their Examination Centre of MDCAT 2023. According to the notification, the student portal will be opened from 29 October till 2nd November, 2023. The students will be able to change their centers from one provincial exam taking University to another provincial admitting University (only inter-provincial). The student can change the examination center only once and this is the last chance for change of examination center (no further requests will be entertained after 2nd November 2023).

PMDC MDCAT 2023

The NMDCAT stands for the PMDC Medical and Dental College Admission Test. This year will be conducted by PMDC through the provincial public admitting universities in all the provinces and ICT on one day at the same time. For admission to Medical and Dental colleges all over Pakistan, it is held after the F.Sc (Pre-medical)/A-Level examinations.

PMDC (Pakistan Medical & Dental Council) was the previous name of the NMDCAT test. The Pakistan Medical Council – also known as the PMDC – regulates the official registration of medical professionals within Pakistan.

Admission to any public or private medical institution in Pakistan requires the PMDC MDCAT. This exam is taken by thousands of students each year. Selection Criteria for Admission to Medical Colleges Based on PMDC MDCAT

Exam Format

1. A total of 68 MCQs will be included in the biology section.
2. A total of 56 MCQs will be included in the chemistry section.
3. A total of 56 MCQswill appear in the physics section.
4. The English section of the exam will contain 20 MCQs.
5. There will be 10 MCQs in Logical Reasoning.

Total Marks

There will be 210 marks on the test. The test does not contain any negative marks.

• When you enter your registration number into the system, your test time begins.
• One question will appear at a time on the screen.
• Any subject portion can be started.
• In the next question, you will have the option of moving to the next one or the previous one.

• After the time has expired, no changes can be made.
• After the exam has ended, no one can leave the center.
• Since it is a computerized system and all papers will have the same difficulty level, no one can object to the questions.
• Prior to the actual test, students will be able to participate in practice exams.

• In the event that you fail to apply for MDCAT, PMDC offers you the opportunity to reapply ten days after the test date, with a 50% late fee.

Answer:

The concept here is, that parallel and antiparallel vectors can be added and subtracted by simple arithmetic means. So, statements (a) & (b) are wrong. (c) is the best answer to this question, and option (d) is a distractor.

Application-Based Questions

Applications-based questions are related to real-life situations.

For Example:

A normal person grows 20% in height from age 10 to 8, and 18 to 25 grows 5% to 10%. Ali is 1.625 meters tall at the age of 10; maximum, how tall would he be at the age of 25?

• a. 1.4255 m
• b. 2.0475 m
• c. 2.1450 m
• d. 3.2434 m
• e. 4.1250 m

Answer:

In this example, very normal heights of a person are discussed. Obviously, from the data, increasing normally should get an answer greater than 2 meters. However, heights of 3 meters or 4 meters are illogical, so they can be quickly eliminated—a height less than 1.625 meters can be quickly eliminated. So, the answer is one of (b) or (c). If you check, you will see that 2.1450 is the right answer for maximum height and 2.0475 is his minimum height; thus, (c) is the correct answer.
