Nawaz Sharif Medical College Admission 2024-25 [NSMC Gujrat]

The government of Punjab took initiative and established the Nawaz Sharif Medical College (NSMC) due to the insufficient medical education services in Gujarat. The college was established in September of 2008.

It is listed with PMDC, registered in IMED, approved by the Ministry of Health & affiliated with UHS & PGMI. Moreover, Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital links with this college as an educational hospital. Currently, it contains around 700 beds.

The college was recognized to offer medical learning & healthcare services for developed districts of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Jhelum & Gujrat. In the beginning, the initial principal was Dr. Nasir Aziz Kamboh.

The building is situated in the block of the University of Gujrat. On the 15th of March 2012, CM Shahbaz Sharif came here & permitted a new building for the college nearby to the institution. The latest campus has an area of 62 acres.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have achieved a minimum of 65% in FSC Pre-Medical.
• Domicile holders of any district of Punjab may apply. (Domicile holders of Islamabad may also apply.)
• Candidates must have passed the National MDCAT-2021 with a score of at least 60%.
• Foreign/overseas Pakistani seats are available to candidates with HSSC or equivalent 12th Grade degree.
• For foreign candidates who have taken SAT-II, they must have scored at least 60%, with Biology 40 percent, Chemistry at 35 percent, and Physics/Maths at 25 percent.

NSMC Admission Process

Ninety students can get admission to this college through open merit while clearing the MDCAT test held by the PMDC. There are ten seats reserved for overseas students, particularly abroad Pakistani students & dual nationality owners of Pakistan.
